An award-winning artist born in Waterville, Maine, Art Poulin offers canvases of inviting landscapes and home portraits that blend his love for America's simplicity with a deep appreciation and knowledge of twentieth century architecture. This unique focus results in gentle countryside scenes which embrace an allegiance to architectural accuracy, frequently lost in typical folk art.
His paintings so exemplify an American nostalgia that he was recently selected to paint the "Lumby" series to include book covers (The Lumby Lines and Stealing Lumby) and several pastoral setting of the fictitious northwest town. Additionally, he paints commissioned works of home portraits, churches, small town businesses and cityscapes.

Art supported his country for 27 years of active duty as a tenor in the US Army chorus in Washington, DC, during which he had the honor to meet six presidents and numerous world political leaders and entertainment personalities. In addition to his military career, during which he traveled extensively throughout the US, Art founded and operated a design-build firm of residential homes in Northern Virginia. His homes and architectural designs have been featured in both local and national magazines.
Art Poulin has an undergraduate degree in art and has studied in Europe, Canada and throughout the US. His love of art, music and America drives his desire to create warm and relaxed paintings enjoyed by all generations. Art lives and paints in upstate New York.
The Cambridge Valley Chamber of Commerce is honored that Mr. Poulin agreed to create our 10th annual poster art this year. Contact the Chamber for posters, 677-0887 or by e-mail cambridgechamber@gmail.com. |
